Basketball Coach
1. To coach students of any age and teach them the fundamentals of the game. That includes how to pass, dribble, shoot, and importantly teach them about teamwork. I will teach them in my backyard because my yard is very big and also the reason is because I have a basketball hoop.
2. This is a good idea because many people like to do play sports when they have nothing better to do not only becuase it also helps you stay in shape, it also may help you stay out of trouble because you are being active and keeping yourself from having too much time. Also coaching would be a good idea because it seems fun and i have learned a lot from my previous coaches so I think it is my time to pass down the knowledge to those others who would like to use it success for them later in the futre. The start up cost would be very low because I already own a basketball hoop and have many basketballs. I would just be making income from the students who I would be teaching.
Blackberry Repair Man
1. To fix all the blackberrys whenever they break or go wrong. Also change the housing and update them whenever there are new updates for the phones. The target market again would be whomever needs their blackberrys fixed. I will be able to do this because I ahe many blackberrys and know how they work and etc.
2. This is a good idea becuase i will fully profit off it also because many Blackberrys go down and some people just go and buy new ones i could save them so much money and time becuase I will come to you and fix your phone. The startup cost would be very low cause i have many blackberrys parts all the software i need to fix the phones and update them as will. Also the tools to take the phones apart so I can change the housing.

I think that your first venture idea is extremely do-able. Since you are in the senior boys basketball team, I believe that younger students would actually want you to coach them. The start up cost is literally nothing since you already have the equipment needed. The only thing you need is time and talent and in this case, you have both.
ReplyDeleteYour second venture idea is quite appealing because I have a Blackberry myself. I would not mind paying someone to help me change my housing or updating it because I am not so tech savvy like some people. The only problem would be promoting this idea. There are many Blackberry users that go to our school but how else can you promote your venture idea to others around the neighborhood?
I like the first idea a lot. With your experience in basketball, I think there are kids out there who actually want to learn. There are probably no start-up costs since it only involves a ball that you already have.
ReplyDeleteThe blackberry idea is quite brilliant as well. I think it would be difficult to start up because you would have to know every function and be able to examine what is wrong within minutes. There are also many stores that do this so how would you make it more appealing?

ReplyDeleteI really liked the idea of coaching basketball. It'll definately be on demand as many students like to play basketball. I'm sure you'll be a good coach since you are in the senior basketball team. ReplyDeleteI think your another idea of fixing and housing blackberry is also very interesting however, it could be a little difficult to start up because you need to know everything function of blackberry. You need to know Blackberry inside/out to make profit. Have you thought about how you will be promoting it?

The first idea is quite brilliant because it will attract many consumers. Your idea is quite unique compared to other competitors. Overall I can see this venture idea go very far because it is lacks competition. Some problems are start up costs.
ReplyDeleteYour second idea is not new but you could beat the competition by promotion and top notch service. I can see this idea at a stand still point in profits because the venture idea is relatively difficult to attain. Some problems are costs in promotion.
I really like your first venture idea of basketball coach since you are on the basketball team and have experience but what about the teacher coaches? I think students would feel more comfortable and have more fun with someone more around their age so I think you and the students would benefit from this. I also like your second venture idea about repairing blackberry since its one of the biggest companies and a lot of people use them but why not just go to the store to get it fixed? You would only benefit if you have experience and your cost isn’t so high.

I love the idea that you came up with being a basketball coach because it is a good match for you! You already play really well, on the basketball team, you can definitely teach others. Plus, you can dunk! It’ll be really easy for you to grab potential customers with your skill and experience.
ReplyDeleteFor your second venture idea, I think that it’s a good idea because there are quite a lot of people who own Black Berries and there’s a pretty big market for it in DT. I was just wondering, how long will it take you to fix a Black Berry though? Would you have enough time to fix all of the Black Berries if you have a lot to fix?

Both ideas are excellent however, if you do want to coach basketball, wouldn't you require a certain degree or certificate to coach? Same situation with Matthew's tutorting services.
